CLARENCE, NY ( wbbz.tv ) Buffalo News sports columnists Bucky Gleason and Jerry Sullivan broke the news about the trade of Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller to St. Louis FIRST on the “The Bucky and Sully Show” Friday night LIVE at 6:30p.m.on WBBZ-TV, Your Hometown Television Station.

Jeremy Rutherford from the St. Louis Post Dispatch joined the discussion telling Bucky and Sully, “…the deal is done,” noting Ryan will be headed to play for the St. Louis Blues.

The announcement on “The Bucky and Sully Show” was then followed by an official release from the Sabres noting the team acquired goaltender Jaroslav Halak, forwards Chris Stewart and William Carrier, a first round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and another conditional draft pick from the St. Louis Blues, in exchange for goaltender Ryan Miller and forward Steve Ott.

As this fluid situation unfolded, Bucky and Sully continued their discussion about Miller, Ott, and what the trades meant for both teams.

During the program, Bucky and Sully reviewed some of Ryan Miller’s Sabres legacy, noting he played in 540 games; was first among Sabres goalies ( Hasek played 491); had 284 wins (Hasek 234); played 28 shutouts (2nd to Hasek’s whopping 55 shutouts).
