Jim Kelly is feeling stronger now that a feeding tube is supplying him with much needed nutrition and will be heading back home from the hospital, according to his brother Dan. Dan Kelly, Vice-Chairman of Kelly for Kids,  was a guest on All Sports WNY hosted by Bob Koshinski, which airs Tuesday night at 7:30PM on WBBZ-TV and gave viewers the latest update on Jim’s condition.

According to Dan Kelly, Jim had a feeding tube inserted into his stomach because the radiation treatments had made eating impossible. “Jim was joking Monday night that he just had a pizza, but the pepperoni had a tough time getting through the tube,” said Dan.

Dan Kelly addressed the countless letters and messages that Jim and his family have received through his battle and extended a heartfelt thank-you to the people of Western New York. “There is no place like Western New York,” said Kelly. “This is the best place to raise a family and I can’t say enough about the support my brother and our family has received.”

Dan Kelly said Jim would address his role in buying the Buffalo Bills as part of an ownership group in the next few days, but emphasized how important it is that the team remain in Buffalo. Dan Kelly also stressed that a new owner of the Bills would be smart to keep both Russ Brandon as President and Doug Whaley as GM upon buying the team.

Kelly also discussed the upcoming Jim Kelly golf tournament on June 2nd and the Kelly Football Camp in July. Dan said “Don’t be surprised to Jim at those events.”

The Dan Kelly interview can be viewed in it’s entirety on WBBZ-TV Tuesday night at 7:30PM and Wednesday at 9:00AM.
