Jim Kelly knows Buffalo Bills fans support their team and he has felt their support throughout his battle against cancer. Now he asks that fans continue that support for the team as potential new owners evaluate the Bills franchise.

“This is the time. Mr. Wilson has passed and there are potential owners looking to come in, whether they are looking to take the team somewhere else or whether they are looking to keep the team right here, which is what we all want and we all support and all go to bat for that. It’s just like anything you do, you want support, you want people backing us. Whether it’s me, whether it’s all the TV stations, whether it’s newspapers, whether it’s online, whatever the case may be. Whether it’s fans showing up at the games, just showing their support which I know we have gotten here in Western New York, we ‘ve got to do that,” said Kelly. “This is the time that some owners who have said “we’re in we’re in”, now is the time to step forward and put your money where your mouth is. It’s not going to be easy, but I believe in the long run the team is going to stay in Western New York.”

Kelly, in an interview we conducted at his home on Wednesday, believes that a new stadium is also the key to keeping a new owner interested in operating the Bills in Buffalo.
