This is a favorite time of year for many of us and for different reasons, but High School football is reason enough for me. Having played high school football and having two sons who did as well, I am programmed to go out to a local stadium on Friday night or Saturday afternoon. It all kicks off this weekend with a couple of big games already on the schedule.

Jamestown travels to Sweethome for a great match-up of perennial powers. The Panthers have been a handful for any school in WNY regardless of the difference in classification.

The Red Raiders of Jamestown have a very interesting schedule this season hosting Canisius under Friday night lights on September 26th and then a huge last game on the schedule hosting Orchard Park.
