ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed QB Matt Cassel. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cassel rejoins the Bills after being released by the team on September 5. The Bills originally acquired Cassel on March 10 through a trade with the Minnesota Vikings. Cassel, a 10-year veteran, has played in 90 career games, starting 71, while completing 1,397-of-2,369 pass attempts for 15,727 yards, 96 touchdowns and 70 interceptions. The 6-4, 228-pound USC product entered the NFL in 2005 as a seventh round pick of the New England Patriots. Cassel spent four years with the Patriots before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009. Cassel was in Kansas City until he joined the Vikings in 2013.

The Bills also announced that the team has released TE Nick O’Leary.
