Orchard Park, NY—The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has officially signed veteran free agent quarterback Kevin Kolb (pronounced Cobb). In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kolb prepares to enter his seventh NFL season, having played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2007-2010 prior to spending the last two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.

Bills General Manager Buddy Nix said, “We wanted to add some veteran experience to the quarterback position on our roster and we think we’ve added a good one by signing Kevin. He’s a player we had targeted since he became a free agent and he should be a strong candidate in the competition for the starting quarterback position.”

Kolb has started 21-of-34 games played since entering the NFL as a second-round (36th overall) draft selection of Philadelphia in 2007. The 6-3, 218-pound Houston product has completed 449-of-755 passes for 5,206 yards with 28 touchdowns in his NFL career.
