The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has signed the below five players as reserve/future signings:

Barden, originally a third-round (85th overall) draft choice by the New York Giants in 2009, has played in 29 games with one start catching 29 passes for 394 yards with the Giants from 2009-12. The 6-6, 224-pound Cal Poly product played in 46 games and caught 206 passes for 4,203 yards with 50 touchdowns during his collegiate career.

Harley entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013 before being released prior to the regular season. The 6-1, 213 pound safety played two seasons at Florida State before transferring to Middle Tennessee. In his one season with the Blue Raiders, Harley played in 12 games tallying 74 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Jefferson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans following the 2013 NFL Draft and appeared in six games with Houston before being released on October 21. The 6-5, 241-pound linebacker earned All-Southland Conference first-team accolades as a senior at Stephen F. Austin and totaled 36 tackles with a team-high 8.0 sacks and five forced fumbles in 11 games.

Summers entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears following the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie year on the practice squad of the Minnesota Vikings and the 2013 offseason with the Vikings before being released prior to the regular season. The 6-5, 215-pound Liberty product finished collegiate career as the school’s all-time career leader in receptions (188), receiving yards (2,712) and touchdown catches (26) in 44 games played.

Williams signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013 and spent a portion of training camp with the Miami Dolphins before being released prior to the regular season. The 6-3, 249 Ohio State product accumulated 132 tackles, 25.0 tackles for loss and 12.0 sacks for the Buckeyes during his collegiate career.

— The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has hired Jeff Hafley to the coaching staff as Defensive Assistant.

Hafley will enter his third season in the NFL coaching ranks in 2014 after spending the previous two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including 2013 as the team’s safeties coach.

Prior to entering the NFL, Hafley spent 11 years on the collegiate sideline with coaching stints at Worcester Polytechnic University (2001), University of Albany (2002-05), University of Pittsburgh (2006-10) and Rutgers niversity (2011).

A native of Montvale, NJ, Hafley graduated from Siena College in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in history and played four years as a wide receiver (1997-2000) at Siena.
