The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has re-signed DE Jerry Hughes. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

After being acquired from the Indianapolis Colts prior to the 2013 season, Hughes broke out as he posted his first career season with 10.0 or more sacks. Hughes continued his strong play in 2014 by piling up 54 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 18 QB hits, 13 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Since the start of last season, Hughes ranks fourth amongst all AFC defensive ends in sacks with 20.0. With 20.0 sacks in his first two seasons with the team, Hughes became the fourth Bill to ever record 20+ sacks in his first two years.

The 6-2, 254-pound Texas Christian University product entered the NFL as a first-round (31stĀ overall) draft selection of Indianapolis in 2010.
