The Buffalo Bills have traded Defensive Tackle Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 2018 6th round draft pick. Dareus was drafted by the Buffalo Bills third overall in the 2011 NFL Draft and in 2015 signed a six-year contract extension that potentially could reach $95.1 million with incentives and $60 million in guaranteed money. However, over Dareus’s career with the Bills he has had multiple substance abuse suspensions and questions about his conditioning.

This past August Coach Sean McDermott sent Dareus home this preseason for missing a team bus before the Baltimore game. Dareus lost his starting position under McDermott and has been playing in a rotation in the lineup since.

The trade reunites Dareus with former Bills coach Doug Marrone.
