DON’T GET ME STARTED is running out of laughs when hearing any of the Buffalo Bills talk about the past and especially the future.

When I heard that the Bills will be looking to draft the “best players available” on the board – I wanted to demand the immediate release of GM Doug Whaley and whoever was involved in making that proclamation.

Here’s why I say that listening to these guys simply doesn’t make sense.

Let’s say that the Bills will be drafting anywhere between the 10th and 15th pick – or wherever. You tell me if you would make the move for “best player available.”

The “best player on the board” when the Bills # comes up is a pretty good running back. Do you, as the GM, pick that player? Remember, on the roster for next season are LeSean McCoy; Karlos Williams; Mike Gillislee. These are tremendously gifted running backs who have proven themselves this season. McCoy and Gillislee skirt the outside and Williams pounds the middle. And let’s not forget Boobie Dixon.

If the Bills hierarchy drafts a running back with the first pick because he’s the “best player availableā€ – Terry Pegula should clean house.

Bill Polian took off on the Bills offensive line and focus should be on getting that unit in sync. AND what do the Bills do if Paxton Lynch is available to them? Will the Bills still draft that running back when Lynch could become the future of the team at quarterback?

The bottom line here is that I wouldn’t believe anything the Buffalo Bills announce to the media and do what I have been doing for so many years – laugh at them on Don’t Get Me Started.
