Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings to acquire QB Matt Cassel and an undisclosed draft choice in exchange for undisclosed draft choices.

Cassel comes to Buffalo after spending the past two seasons in Minnesota, playing in 12 games for the Vikings while completing 194-of-325 pass attempts for 2,232 yards, 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. The 10-year veteran has played in 90 games in his career, starting 71, while completing 1,397-of-2,369 pass attempts for 15,727 yards, 96 touchdowns and 70 interceptions.

The 6-4, 228-pound USC product entered the NFL in 2005 as a seventh round pick of the New England Patriots. Cassel spent four years with the Patriots before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009. Cassel was in Kansas City until he joined the Vikings in 2013.
