Buffalo Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill has announced that Head Coach Phil Housley has been relieved of his duties. Despite a vote of confidence for Housley back in February by Botterill and just ten days ago by owner Terry Pegula, Housley was released after just two seasons with the Sabres. The former Sabre and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, Housley had a 58-84-22  record over the two seasons.
