Season_Tickets_215x160_ifx0hf7f_oukkx827In 1988 the City of Buffalo constructed a minor league baseball stadium that was considered state of the art. The facility was built with the hopes that it would lead to Buffalo earning a Major League expansion franchise which unfortunately never happened. Regardless, the stadium that went on to be named Pilot Field (now Coca Cola Park) was considered the jewel of the minor leagues and still stands today as one of the finer ballparks outside of the Majors.

This feature is a story done by Bob Koshinski, then with WKBW-TV, which aired in a 30 minute special on April 13th, 1988, the night before the Bisons home opener against the Denver Zephyrs. the Bisons won that contest 1-0 on a Tom Prince solo home run.
