RANSOMVILLE, NY (May 26, 2017) The wet month of May continues to plague the Ransomville Speedway as management was forced to pull the plug on the Memorial Day Weekend racing event scheduled for Friday, May 26th due to saturated grounds. This wash out makes the third time in four weeks that the racing action was interrupted by Mother Nature.

“The rain that has fallen over the last 24 hours plus the rain that is expected in the forecast throughout the day has forced us to cancel tonight” states Ransomville Speedway General Manager Jenn Martin.

The double features that were scheduled for the Street Stocks and Novice Sportsman will now take place on Friday, June 16th. The scheduled Military Appreciation Night will now take place on Friday, July 7th. “We appreciate all that have served and currently are serving in the military and we really want this night to happen, so we have rescheduled it for July 7th” commented Martin.

Racing will resume at the Big R on Friday, June 2nd as A-Verdi Storage Containers and Johnston’s Restaurant presents the Patriot Sprint Tour plus double features for the Investors Service Sportsman. Joining the Patriot Sprints and the Sportsman will be the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers, and Stevenson’s Hardware Novice Sportsman. Gates will swing open in the pits at 5:00 pm with grandstands opening at 6:00 pm with racing action starting at 7:15 pm.
