Bills running back and team captain Fred Jackson will miss Thursday night’s contest against the Miami Dolphins due to a concussion he received against the New England Patriots. Jackson suffered the head injury late in the 4th quarter after Patriot linebacker Brandon Spikes caught the side of the running back’s helmet with his shoulder.
Bills Coach Chan Gailey made the announcement Monday, confirming Jackson had a concussion after the player wasn’t feeling well on the flight home.
Jackson’s absence means co-starter C.J. Spiller will handle most of the duties while being backed up by Tashard Choice.
