With the Buffalo Bills reeling from the injuries suffered against Washington, don’t expect any good news about EJ Manuel suiting up against New England. Manuel’s injury, according to sources, has a recovery window of 2-4 weeks and for a quarterback 4 weeks would be the norm.

Coach Doug Marrone indicated Monday that they will plan on having rookie Jeff Tuel start against the Patriots, but did not rule out Manuel. I believe the coach is trying to keep hope alive by indicating Manuel could still play, but I see it as an extreme long shot.

Quarterback Kevin Kolb may have played his last down in the NFL Saturday after suffering another concussion. Kolb’s concussion is the third of his career and he missed time in 2010 and 2012 because of concussions.

Reports are that Kolb suffered a “serious” concussion when kneed in the back of the helmet Saturday and it was a wonder that he finished the final plays of that scoring drive.
